Made using a novel, Patented Filament winding process, the new Xcaliber SuperLite 55 Wood Golf Shaft has a slightly softer upper section than the SuperLite 45 model, a stiffer lower section and a very unique torque distribution unique to filament wound shafts and results in unheard of stability and control.
Practically all filament wound shafts are too heavy and designed with stiffness profiles equal to conventional shafts – this is a mistake. They have unique torque distributions that are much different than conventional shafts, which must be accounted for and is another reason they can play and feel too stiff.
Using high-strength, high-strain winding carbon fibers, we created the perfect combination of performance and weight. Testing confirmed the shaft was more stable, more consistent and carried longer than any filament wound shaft we tested against for a larger range of players.
The first of its kind, the new Xcaliber SuperLite 55 Wood Golf Shaft fits golfers who swing up to 105 mph and higher with smooth to mediums/ quicker tempos and transitions.
Depending on clubhead speed, expect a medium to high launch with low spin. If you have a swing speed over 105 mph and an aggressive transition, definitely consider the new Xcaliber Pro TSL.
